Holy crap, these Georgia Tech players are dumb as rocks. Complete morons. It's really unbelievable. That was the most painful push I've watched in a while. Three more college basketball picks for the afternoon/evening:
Arizona State +6 -110, 1.1 units to win 1 unit
68% on the popular Bruins, line hasn't budged. Arizona State's 12-point loss on the road at USC in their last game combined with UCLA's blowout of Arizona by 23 points in their last game really sets this one up nicely.
Colorado State +16.5 -103, 1.03 units to win 1 unit
Utah is better than Colorado State, but not that much better.
South Carolina +9 -107, 1.07 units to win 1 unit
Betting pretty equal, but a big line move. Backcourt scoring for the Gamecocks keeps them in this one.
Still pissed about the overtime push with Georgia Tech. I'll remember for the rest of the season that these guys are idiots. Even on athletic scholarships, how do they let these guys into college? Also pissed about passing Northern Iowa. Speaking of which, the guaranteed winners (passes) for the next couple of hours are Georgia Southern, Texas Tech, and Ohio. You're welcome.

what did Ga tech do to get your ire?
Just boneheaded play after boneheaded play coming down the stretch in regulation. No attempt to run time off the clock when they were up 5 or so with a couple of minutes left. Taking bad shots with plenty of time on the shot clock. With about 3 seconds left in OT, and down 3 points, NC State let them have an uncontested layup, which the GT kid missed, and then they fouled with 1 second left and gave State 2 free throws to get the push. Just maddening.
GT really is pathetic. As a fan and ex-student there, it has been an extremely painful season. Bad execution, loads of turnovers (16+ per game), and horrific free throw shooting (58% on the season, though they were decent from the line today). Based on talent alone, NC State had no reason winning this game, but when you compound bad shots with turnovers with bonehead plays...you get a really bad GT team. Just be glad you got them at +5, it was at 4 at many other places. Just imagine how bad it could have been for you had you not gotten the push.
Agreed. On talent, this was no contest, because NC State is slow (and by slow, I mean too many white dudes) and has no guards that I would even rate as decent. Hopefully for you as a fan, it's just that they're young, and it will get better (unless Lawal enters the draft this year). I like Hewitt, but he seemed content to just stand there and not do anything about it, which was frustrating (for both of us, I'm sure). And YES, if I had waited until the line was +4, I would have used a lot more profanity...
